Home Buyer Credit Extended and Expanded
On November 6, 2009 new legislation was signed into law extending the existing First Time Buyer Tax Credit and expanding it to include existing homeowners. Let me explain a little bit about changes made to the existing credit first:
Things to Think About When Buying a Home
Before you hop in your car and start blindly driving up and down every street in Oklahoma City searching for your perfect home, figure out what you want and need in the home you plan to purchase.
Buying Your First Home
Often times, I work with first time buyers and each time these buyers teach me something that I am able to pass on to the next transaction….my latest lesson being that every buyer’s level of knowledge entering in to the transaction is extremely different from the next. No amount of information should be taken for granted.
Time’s Running Out for First Time Buyers
If you are a first time buyer and looking to get in on some free green from the US Government, you better get movin’! In order to receive the $8,000 Tax Credit, you need to have closed your home prior to December 1, 2009….which means you MUST have a contract written before mid-October.
